Connectivity

Connectivity supports the Consortium's efforts to achieve community science, research, and education goals, and adds significant value to each State's existing cyberinfrastructure (CI).  Consequently, each state is building upon the connectivity improvements made possible by this Track 2 award.  In Idaho, connectivity enhancements allow more connections to the high speed Idaho Regional Optical Network (IRON) and university campus Local Area Network (LAN) improvements. Both are integral elements of the institutional plans for connectivity.  Improved network and video connectivity improvements in Nevada will be sustained by NevadaNet.  Likewise, the State of New Mexico will maintain connectivity to the Tribal colleges and Hispanic-Serving Institutions initially supported by Track 2 investments.
